November 29, 1st Sunday of Advent
An Advent Service of Lessons and Carols. This year to start off Advent the focus will be on the coming of the Messiah from the perspective of the Old Testament and the Synoptic Gospels.

This service for Advent, with a focus on the prophets, is an adaptation of the Christmas Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols composed by E. W. Benson, Anglican Bishop of Truro, England, in 1880. It was designed as a Christmas Eve service. It is taken from the United Methodist Book of Worship. This particular worship service, further adapted by your pastor, is being used to set the tone for our choir's Christmas cantat on December 13th and our children's Christmas program on December 20th.
